JOHN COOPER CLARKE
[updated 8/22/97]
This was JCC's very first album. It's basically a mixture of live recitations, demos, rehearsals and experimental studio stuff.
It was originally released in 1978 on Rabid - Martin Hannett's label as NOZE1, and subsequently reissued on the Receiver label in 1989 (catalog number RRLP 110), thus making it ironically also his last album.
This early gem of an album is finally out on CD and sounds pretty good. Catalog number for anyone wanting to order it is... RRCD 110.

The above cover is the original Rabid issue, so thanks to Doren for the scan.
Update: Although our letter to Receiver Records was returned to us marked "Gone Away." it seems they are still busy at a new location re-releasing all the old stuff again on CD. Apart from this one, they have at least two other compilation albums available with JCC stuff on - see discography. I just got their mail-order catalog sent to me from Jamaica of all places. (It seems they are into Regga and ska too). Anyone wanting their address, e-mail me.
