JOHN COOPER CLARKE
[updated 5/4/97]
Walking Back to Happiness
Basically a live album in front of a mostly appreciative audience. Originally released in clear vinyl in 1979. Now long out of print, it's only to be found in the hands of the collector and the odd second-hand record store.
Unfortunately, I don't think it's likely to be re-released on CD this side of the 22nd century, so if you've got it, consider yourself lucky!
TRACKS:
2... Majorca
3... Bronze Adonis
4... Spilt Beans
5... Twat
7... Nothing
8... Limbo
9... Who Stole the Marble Index *
10... Gimmix
* This one isn't really a poem (but it's on the album like this). It was at this point JCC reached into his carrier bag to get another poem, when he saw that some scum sucker in the audience had already reached in and stolen one of his notebooks. (They also stole a pair of chest expanders). I wonder if he ever got them back.
No musicians - just JCC reciting his poems. Though the last track - Gimmix - was a studio track that was also released as a single.
