The New Musical Express had a piece on poetry today and took the trouble to list the 5 great Rock n' Roll poets.

At a disgusting No 4 was JCC.

“Looking like a gonk stick insect in Raybans, Manchester University librarian Clarke jumped the Punk bandwagon, took it over and made it fly. Looking and sounding like a fright wigged Ginsberg on speed and an out of control crash-diet, Mr Clarke is still the roll model for any young performance poet not suffering from premature brain death.

His Beasley Street remains the greatest piece of writing in the English language.”

Actually, they're in no particular order and the others are; Percy Bysshe Shelley, Wilfred Owen, Allen Ginsberg and Little Brother.
