Just returned from the gig - great show! John
performed for just over an hour to a crowd of about 150.
Looks great and delivered the poems beautifully. Burnley came in
for another bashing, and there was a surreal bit
about cowboys in Scotland.
Favourite line of the night - "still you can't have everything -
besides, where would you put it all?"
Poems included Health Fanatic, I Married..., Hire Car,
Tom Jones, Evidently Chicken Town, I Wanna Be Yours, Twat, Are You The Business, I Wrote The Songs, Haiku, and encore
of Kung Fu International.
Managed to speak to John for a few minutes after the gig and
get my copy of "ten years" signed. Really nice bloke he signed
"To Dave,from your pal, John Cooper Clarke".
Must go......is that a plane overhead?
