JOHN COOPER CLARKE
[updated May 9th, '98]
NME/ROUGH TRADE
A compilation cassette only release from - I think - around 1981, (correction anybody please).
This album features a vocal only reading of The Day My Pad Went Mad by JCC and a bunch of the staff from NME. I'm told everyone on it sounds highly intoxicated, and it does say... Recorded live in a stupor on the track listings.
The credit acknowledgement on it goes to... 'THE MASSED CARNABY ST. JOHN COOPER CLARKE'S.' This was either a way to get around potential copyright infringment or because they were all totally pissed (I'm not sure which), but April Music is credited.
